Distance and the scale
Measure between two points, in metres once the scale is set.
What it is
Distance measures between two points on the picture. To read it in metres or feet, set the scale once for that video: tap the two ends of something you know the length of (a plate, a court line, a box) and type how long it is. Speeds on that video use the same scale.
How to use it
- In Analyse, choose Distance and tap the two ends.
- In its panel, choose Set the scale, tap both ends of something you know, and type its length.
- Drag either end on the picture to move it; an end tapped on a point Keln follows moves with it.
In your coaching
Measure how far Diego's stride is at full speed, with the 5 m line on the track as the scale.
Good to know
- A plate is 0.45 m across; a basketball hoop is 3.05 m high; a badminton court is 6.1 m wide.
- The scale is truest for things the same distance from the camera.
